Mutts – A Special Breed of Dog!
Posted by Jeanne on April 29, 2009

A mutt is the kind of dog that most children own. Mutts are called mongrels by some people, others call them curs, but kids call them Brownie, Fido, Rex, and Rover. Grown people will never understand that to children a dog is a dog; it is something to love, something to play with, and most of all somebody to talk to. Just like the most expensive pedigreed dog, a mutt will listen to you when you tell him that he is your best pal.
Funny thing about mutts, you can usually get one free at the local dog pound. They rarely require injections or medical care, and their pictures are never on magazine covers. Mutts outnumber pedigreed dogs by millions. But, many people pretend they do not exist. These same people will brag about how healthy their hybrid corn is, and they’ll proudly exhibit their hybrid roses. But, they insist that their dog be pure bred. Maybe if there were more pictures of hybrid dogs in magazines more people would want to own them.
It’s all a matter of taste. Certain people prefer certain things. You like one kind of dog, your pal likes another, and I like still another. No matter what kind of dog we like, there is a mutt exactly like the one we prefer. There are millions of mutts, and everyone is different!
